After years of watching the cost of education sky rocket, and the trend toward online non-interactive formats, several local practitioners decided it was time Idaho had an alternative. With the help of The National Association of Tax Consultants, we organized and created a non-profit association to fill the need for local and affordable education opportunities for all tax preparers: CPAs, EAs and Tax Return Preparers. Our mission is to support the tax practitioner community by providing continuing education, networking opportunities and a united representation to taxing authorities and the public.
Presently, as an association, we have a positive relationship with IRS and Idaho State Tax Commission. A representative of our organization attends the semi-annual IRS Practitioner Liaison meetings. Our education seminars are developed in accordance with IRS standards as an approved provider of continuing education.
We look forward to further growth and chapters throughout the state. If you are interested in helping organize a local chapter or just get your feet wet by hosting a seminar, please contact us. We welcome any suggestions for topics and venues for future seminars. We are also looking for speakers. It’s been said “If you really want to understand a topic in depth; teach it.” IATC can give you that opportunity.
